I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor registered with the BACP, holding a Master's in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Newman University (Level 7). My specialisation is in relational integrative psychotherapy with a gestalt core, complemented by psychodynamic and CBT components. Throughout my master's programme, I conducted research on gender identity. I am currently completing an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Studies at Newman University, accredited by UKCP.
My wider professional background includes a number of years' experience as a youth worker and mentor in LGBTQ+ organisations. I also gained experience in equine psychotherapy, which explores how our relationship with animals and nature can help us to reconnect with ourselves.
Four years of study at medical school provided me with a rich learning experience, but ultimately I decided to pursue my interest in the benefits of longer-term therapeutic relationships.
I draw upon my diverse professional and training experience, integrating all I have learned in order to provide individualised and specialised support for each client I work with.
I am a trainee member of the UKCP (membership number 2011186815). I am bound by their professional code of ethics which can be found here: Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.
I am also a trainee member of UPCA (membership number 3162) and the BACP (membership number 01001396).
