Professional Background and Training

I am a psychotherapeutic counselor registered with the BACP, holding a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counseling from Newman University (Level 7). My specialization is in relational integrative psychotherapy with a Gestalt core, complemented by Psychodynamic and CBT components. Throughout my masters program, I conducted research on gender identity. I am currently completing my advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Studies at Newman University, accredited by UKCP.

In my wider professional background I have worked as a youth worker and mentor in LGBTQ+ organisations for a number of years. I have experience working with equine psychotherapy which explores how our relationship with animals and nature can help us reconnect with ourselves. I studied four years at medical school but found that this wasn’t the right environment for me as I was more interested in longer term therapeutic relationships with people.

My diverse professional and training experience enables me to integrate these teachings with the aim to provide individualised and specialised support for each client.
