Consultancy, teaching and training in gender, sexual and relationship diversity
I help organisations, institutions, groups and individuals to learn about LGBTQ+ issues in counselling and beyond.
Workshops
I design and deliver workshops that engage people with gender, relationship and sexual diversity, and help them to think together about topics that society often struggles to stay in dialogue about.
For example, I ran an Embodied Gender Workshop at the Gestalt Psychology Conference in 2023, and a Developmental Movement Workshop at Berlin's Stretch Festival in 2024.
Presentations
I am an experienced public speaker and I enjoy sharing insights from my training and my practice at conferences and events. I speak about topics like gender identity, relationship diversity and affirmative therapy at a wide range of events, offering audiences a perspective often underrepresented in the media.
In 2024, I delivered a presentation on gender identity at the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Conference, helping delegates to explore questions that are increasingly pertinent for practitioners everywhere.
Guest lecturing
I enjoy contributing to academic learning and I have designed and delivered lectures on working with LGBTQ+ people in counselling, as part of the Counselling Skills course at Newman University.
Training
My experiences as a therapist, as a youth worker, and as a mentor in LGBTQ+ organisations have given me a skillset that many organisations can benefit from, and I relish opportunities to share my skills by running training events and courses.
Consultancy
I offer consultancy to anyone seeking to work with or alongside LGBTQ+ communities, helping individuals, groups and organisations to take an intersectional, affirmative approach to their work with people of marginalised identities.
